Building for the Future

At Fear the Fin Booster Club, we believe in constantly improving the facilities, resources, and experience for our Southside High School Sharks Softball players. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond the field—we are dedicated to creating a championship-level environment where our athletes can train, compete, and succeed.

Short-Term Goals – Enhancing the Present

We are actively working on immediate improvements to ensure our team has top-tier facilities for training and competition. Our current short-term priorities include:

  • Upgrading the infield with additional dirt for better playing conditions.

  • Enhancing the home bullpen area with concrete, turf, and backstop,  for durability and performance.

  • Improving the visitor bullpen area with fresh dirt to match the playing field quality.

Long-Term Vision – Investing in Our Future

Our long-term mission is to transform our facilities into one of the best softball venues in the region. With the help of fundraising, sponsorships, and community support, we aim to achieve:

  • Lights for night games – Bringing more opportunities for fans and families to support our team under the lights.

  • Improved stadium seating – Creating a comfortable and exciting game-day experience for our supporters.

  • Covered batting cages – Ensuring year-round training, rain or shine.

  • All-brick backstops – Adding durability and a professional look to our field.

  • Replacing fencing with netting – Improving visibility and safety for players and spectators.

  • Wooden or metal fencing for the outfield – Giving our field a strong, polished, and championship-ready feel.

Join Us in Making These Goals a Reality!

We can’t do this without the support of our Fear the Fin Family! Whether through donations, sponsorships, or volunteer efforts, every contribution helps us move closer to providing the best possible facilities for our athletes.
